Positive Conversations on Sales Calls

The Power of Positive Communication in Sales

Corey Shares Why Confidence and Respect Win Homeowners’ Trust

In foundation repair, how you communicate can be just as important as the solutions you provide. At Grip-Tite Manufacturing, we believe professionalism and positivity set the tone for lasting customer relationships — especially during sales calls.

“One of the most important things during a sales call is to not talk negative about your competitors,” Corey said. “Your goal is to sell yourself or to inform the homeowner of what you can do — and don’t worry about what anybody else is going to do.”

Rather than focusing on what others might lack, Corey encourages contractors to highlight their own strengths — experience, education, and commitment to quality.

“Share with the homeowner the benefits of having your company do their work, not by downplaying anybody else, but by emphasizing all the positive things you bring to the table,” he explained. “Be proud of who you are, be proud of your installers, and make sure you’re sharing that your team is experienced and trained.”

When homeowners feel your genuine confidence and respect, it builds trust — the foundation of every successful project.

“Homeowners are looking to spend a lot of money with you,” Corey said. “It’s important that they trust not only you, but your whole team. Make them feel comfortable with your company and your installers. Positive sells.”

Corey’s message is simple but powerful: confidence, professionalism, and positivity are what truly set you apart.
