Learn The Proper Sales Process

Sales Start Long Before the Appointment

Corey Shares How Preparation and Education Build Trust with Homeowners

At Grip-Tite Manufacturing, we know that effective sales begin well before you arrive at a homeowner’s property. Preparation, knowledge, and communication are key to building confidence and closing projects successfully.

“Sales don’t start when you pull up to the house — all of that starts before you arrive at your appointment,” Corey explained.

Corey emphasizes the importance of knowing your products inside and out, and being ready to answer homeowner questions in a clear, understandable way.

“It’s important you spend the time to hear the questions that the homeowner has and answer them truthfully and honestly,” he said. “Don’t try to be overeducated — make sure they understand what you’re sharing.”

Appearance and professionalism matter just as much as product knowledge. Corey advises keeping your vehicle clean, dressing appropriately, and being fully prepared to engage with the homeowner.

“Always be ready. Be dressed well. Have your car clean. Spend the time with the homeowner. Ask the questions, answer the questions, and then really point out what it is that you’re going to do,” Corey said.

By taking the time to educate homeowners and clearly explain every step of the process, installers build trust, reduce misunderstandings, and set the stage for a smooth, successful project.

“You’re going to get the best results the better you educate the homeowner,” Corey emphasized.

Preparation, professionalism, and clear communication are the foundation of successful sales — even before the first tool hits the job site.
